#15: Jumping into cloth nappies

Just a few weeks ago, Lauren and I connected over our shared attempts to learn how to navigate Instagram as we both began our feeds to encourage and support others in our respective fields. Talk quickly turned to cloth nappies, and Lauren admitted she’d never quite found the motive to take the plunge. A gentle push later and here we are. #14: Recycled fun

Meet Nikki. She’s a mum for whom cloth nappies were a starting point to making more environmentally friendly choices for her family. With COVID-19 restrictions meaning her usual swimming lessons, mothers group meets and play dates were cancelled, she set to making toys and other baby activities out of recycled items for her 10-month-old daughter. Today, she shares some of her ideas with you in the hope of inspiring more families to keep their children busy using whatever they can find around the home.

#13: Actions speak loudly

Come say hello to Josie from Deniliquin. Josie sounds like so many mums I have interviewed for this blog – she started out with little knowledge of cloth nappies, just a drive to do better for the planet, then a short time later became a staunch cloth nappy addict. Only Josie has done something about it – she has started a local advocacy group as a place to encourage local parents to make the switch to cloth or share anything cloth related.
